DEMGY commits to regional decarbonization with ACT en Seine: cooperating for a sustainable industry

Press article

As part of the launch of the ACT en Seine (Assessing Low Carbon Transition) program, DEMGY has been highlighted as an industrial player committed to low-carbon transition. This program, supported by ADEME and coordinated by Manufacture des Capucins, aims to support companies in the Seine Valley (Normandy and Ile-de-France) in developing their decarbonization strategy, using the ACT Pas à Pas methodology.

The goal is to create a strong regional dynamic based on collective intelligence and the sharing of experiences. Through personalized support and collaborative workshops, participating companies are building realistic and ambitious decarbonization trajectories. DEMGY, through its Normandy site, has distinguished itself by completing its carbon assessment and its involvement in the ACT'EURE initiative, illustrating its concrete commitment to a more responsible industry.

As highlighted in the article published on the ADEME website, this collective mobilization is a powerful lever for accelerating the environmental transition at the local level. DEMGY is actively contributing to this by implementing innovative and sustainable solutions at its industrial sites.

CSR at DEMGY: a corporate philosophy at the heart of our strategy

At DEMGY, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is much more than a regulatory framework: it's a vision that guides our choices, our projects, and our culture. Our ambition is clear: to be a competitive, innovative industrial player deeply committed to the ecological and social transition.

Our commitment to the environment is reflected in concrete actions. We completed the carbon footprint assessment of our DEMGY Normandy site in 2022 and defined its decarbonization trajectory by participating in the ACT'EURE (Assessing Low Carbon Transition in the Eure region) initiative. Today, this methodology will allow us to finalize the carbon footprint assessment of each of our French sites, accompanied, of course, by their decarbonization strategy for the end of 2025. In 2026, it will be the turn of our international sites to apply the same methodology and implement their decarbonization trajectory.

Likewise, our teams are actively involved in recycling projects with the support of ADEME, with the aim of integrating more and more recycled materials into our products (reboorn and Press&Make projects); these projects are carried out in collaboration with our customers.

Furthermore, at our sites, we implement eco-responsible practices, such as recovering "waste heat" from our workshops to heat offices, installing a photovoltaic panel farm for self-consumption, and installing beehives in our green spaces.

Our certifications, including ISO 14001, demonstrate our commitment to the environment.

At DEMGY, we believe that the industry of tomorrow is being built today, with boldness, responsibility, and cooperation. Our participation in the ACT en Seine program and our CSR approach illustrate our desire to take concrete action for a more sustainable future, serving our regions and our customers.
